The family of William F. Carr has received the following condolences.

Maryellen and family,

I was shocked to learn of Bill's sudden passing. I am so sorry for your loss. It is unbelievable all the sadness the Carr family has endured the past few months. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.   Sue Kupka Davis, Charles City

Dear Mary Ellen & Family,

i am so sorry for your loss & my thoughts & prayers are with you. You & Bill were such good neighbors.

May your good memories bring you comfort during this very difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

So sorry and surprised to learn of Bill's death. Take care of yourself Maryellen in the coming months.

Over the span of one's career, you work with many colleagues -- yet, only a few leave a lasting impression.  I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Bill, as part of the IBM-Rochester Integrated Technology Lab.  He possessed a unique combination of professional and personal characteristics that helped shape me, and have continued to guide me after our collaboration.

Bill encouraged the group to work as a team to solve problems.  He was always available to listen, and if asked, would offer his sharp technical insights.  His pragmatic approach to addressing an issue is a trait that I have since tried to adopt.  Bill led our team with integrity, and inspired us to share and learn -- together, the team achieved more goals and successes than others thought possible.

Often, one's career accomplishments overlook the indirect influence and impact on colleagues -- please know that I truly appreciate and value what I learned from Bill, professionally and personally.  I will always treasure the time that I had to work with him.

My sincerest condolences to the Carr family.

Maryellen, Mike,Jenn, Kathleen and all of the family,

My heart goes out to you at this terrible loss. I have only positive memories of growing up with Bill as my big brother. He was as gentle and smart and kind then as he remained all of his life. He was first my favorite playmate in childhood and then my admired older brother in adolescence. You already know what an excellent father and grandfather he was. I share your pain at his death. Love to all of you.

Mary Sharon

Dear Maryellen and children,

Henry and I are saddened by Bill's death, and your loss.  Surely you have wonderful memories to sustain you! We have fond memories of you good people!  God bless you all,

Chris and Henry Schultz

I am so sorry to hear about Bill's death.  I know it is so hard for all his families.  I always enjoyed talking with him and found him fun to be around.  And I know that his children and grandchildren, and of course Mary Ellen, meant the world to him.  When we were growing up in New Hampton I always considered Bill and Mary Ellen the examples of teen and young adult perfection that we would all aspire to.

What a long-time and great friend in Bill. He was always such a good sport, up for about anything, and much fun. We so enjoyed our travels with Bill and Maryellen and our many, many conversations. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Maryellen, their children and grandchildren, and the entire Carr family.

Dear Maryellen and families,

We are so very sorry to hear about your loss of Bill.  We have long known Bill as a wonderful family man and know how much he will be missed by all of you.  We are also thankful that Bill was an amazing friend.  We treasured that friendship with Bill and Maryellen, and will continue it with Maryellen and Bill's memory.

With our love, thoughts, and prayers.

Roger and Karen Schilling

i am so very for your loss and the whole Carr family is in our thoughts and prayers.

When I was a little girl, he and Mary would take me to the movie theater, to the park, and on some of their dates! He was another brother to me;  a good, funny, caring older brother.  All who knew and loved him are lucky to have had him in their lives.  It is safe to say, we all will miss his great humor, deep laugh, twinkle in his eyes. His strong presence in our lives.  I will miss having my partner in crime...teasing my sister, Maryellen and making her laugh.

He will be missed greatly by everyone.  Our hearts ache with his sudden leaving.  It was much too soon, that's a hard pain to get past.  Love and sympathy to his dear children and beloved grandchildren.

Dear Jenny,

I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your father. I wish you and your family peace and comfort in the memories you shared with him.

Kind regards,

Amy Pesch La Hait
