Condolences

The family of Wayne J. Knipschield has received the following condolences.

Dear Knipschield Family

Wayne was coach at Lourdes when my brother Jim & I were school.  He was so good to my brother.  My brother was probably the shortest boy at Lourdes and Wayne made him team manager.

We moved away in 1951.  When my brother died Wayne called me and talked to me for a long time. He was such a confort to me.

I know I don't need to tell you what a wonderful man he was.  He will be missed by many.

Margaret (Ek) Benike

Sorry about the passing of your father.  He was a great guy and friend.  Our prayers and thoughts to you.

Bill and Mary Jo Galligan

Of all the football coaches I played for, Nip was in a tie for the best with John Drews.  He was always kind, gracious and funny, and he didn't have a judgmental bone in his body.  My deepest condolences to the family of one of the best human beings I have ever known.

Dear Terry and Mary, @ Family,

So sorry to hear about your Dad. I loved this man, he was one of my favorite in the whole world teachers. I had so much fun in drivers education with him. That was one class I always had a smile in, and always new I would see a big smile coming back at me. He will always be deeply missed by all that new him. Love Connie Lusk

To the family of Nipper,

He was a good friend of our family and especially my dad, John Drews. He would follow sports closely his whole life, and even watched my daughters play basketball just these past few years. A great sense sense of humor and a very kind and genereous man.  I was fortunate to see him recently at the clinic, and it was the highlight of my day..He and John (dad) have so much to catch up on...

God Bless, take good care,  Peg Drews-Radke

Condolences to all of the family.  I had Mr. Knipschield for drivers ed in about 1980 and he was a great teacher and always added some humor to the subject matter.  I remember being out on the road and turning my head forward before the car had come to a complete stop and he slammed his right side of the car brake on and explained to me what I had done wrong and then apologized in a joking manner for the "whiplash" he had given me.  I still remember that from time to time when I'm backing up the car and have told my kids that story as they've learned to drive.  He was a great person and will be remembered forever!

Kathleen (Sleeper) Orth--class of 1982

Please accept  my deepest sympathies for your loss . Nipper was not only my coach, but he was also a wonderful friend. He always found the good in people and he always asked how my parents were getting along. It was always a pleasure to see him when he  came  to my dental office. We will greatly miss "The Nipper".

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. Mr. Knipscheild was my Driver's Ed Teacher. I was the only female in the class at the time and he really looked out for me. He had a great sense of humor and always a smile on his face. And who could forget his red socks!!

May all your memories of your parents and the love of family help to ease your sorrow and pain. My deepest sympathy to the Knipscheild family.

My Dad, Ray Sibley and Knipper, were very good friends for years, sharing their love of family, sports and life.  You can bet there is a lot of chatter going on up in heaven with those two.  The whole Sibley family sends their condolences and many prayers to the Knipschield family for their recent losses.
