Vivian Marie Miller

Vivian Marie Miller, 94 of Rochester passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at White Pines Memory Care in Cottage Grove.

Vivian was born July 27, 1923 in Hibbing, MN. She attended schools in Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High school in 1941. She attended a post graduate course in secretarial training. Vivian married Edward R. Miller on September 7, 1945 at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  In 1947, they made Rochester their home.  Vivian was employed by Rochester Public Schools as an elementary school secretary, retiring in 1984.

She was a charter member of Gloria Dei, and a member of the Ruth Circle and was active for many years. Vivian was very appreciative of her many nieces and nephews who helped her with many tasks.

Vivian is survived by a son, Sheldon (Diane) of Globe, AZ; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward and son, Paul.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles Ortloff officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
