Vernon P. Weber

Vernon Peter Weber, 80, passed away on October 6, 2025, following a brief illness at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Vernon was born on April 3, 1945, to Charles and Stella (Evenson) Weber. Vern was born and raised in Stewartville and attended Stewartville Schools. He married Lucille (Ferguson) Weber on December 13, 1969, in Stewartville. They then moved to Rochester where they lived and raised their family.

He served in the United States Air Force as an electrician/radio technician and then worked in the echocardiology lab at Mayo Clinic for 42 years. He was proud of his contributions to the lab, from being one of the first lab employees to participating in the building of the Scottsdale and Jacksonville labs. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, gambling, all Minnesota sports, and traveling with Lucille.

He is survived by sons Wade (Amy) Weber, Brent (Heather) Weber; grandchildren Caleb Regehr and Josie Weber; brother Francis Weber; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille Weber and son Derek Weber.

A small graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10 am on October 9, 2025, at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Jeff S

I'm Sorry to hear of Verns passing.  We were neighbors since the late 80's.

Always up for a visit. Even helped me till up my garden. Such a nice kind man. Loved to reminisce of his and Lucy's travels. Was hard to leave as he always loved when you'd stop by and visit while he was having his smoke on the front step.

Loved talking about his job at the Clinic. Fortunate to live close enough to walk to work.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Losing both parents so close together is very hard.

May they be reunited in Heaven again 🙏

Your neighbor Jane .

So sorry for your loss, I also worked with Vern in the Echo lab he could fix anything an was always so helpful will always remember his smirk on his face.

My condolences for your loss. Vern was always go to man when we had technical issues in the lab! He was the first and has been responsible for training an amazing group of AV hyvee professionals that help us with our presentations worldwide and work to fix the echo machines  they don’t behave. He had a very dry, funny sense of humor. He will be missed.

We’re sending sincere condolences to Vern’s loved ones. We worked with him in the Echo Lab at Mayo. He certainly had a wealth of knowledge from the good ole days in the Echo lab.
Those were the best days … back in 1996 when we started.
