Valerie Ann Fisher passed away on October 8, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.  She was born on October 28, 1972 in West Reading, PA. to Harold and Ann Fisher.  She graduated from Wilson High School in West Lawn PA. in 1991.  She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.  After graduation Valerie worked in Rochester, NY as a pharmacist for Wegmans Pharmacy. She moved to Rochester, MN in 1998 and continued her pharmacy career first at the Mayo Clinic and then at Target in NW Rochester, until the time of her death.

Valerie is survived by her loving family, which includes: her twin sons, Benjamin and Nathaniel Morrow of Rochester, her parents of West Lawn, PA, a sister: Beth (Jeff) Bittner of Wyomissing, PA., a niece and nephew: Emma and Ethan Bittner, two grandmothers: Madge Alesin and Laura Fisher of Leesport, PA. and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Charles Bender and Howard Fisher.

Valerie was a devoted mother for her children. She loved her dogs and cats, crafts, scrap-booking, enthusiastically swimming at the “Y” with her sons, playing the piano, singing, and enjoying music as a whole.  Valerie, Ben and Nate recently began a new musical endeavor together, learning to play the guitar.  She enjoyed summer trips with her twin sons; during these times and others they would think of themselves as the “Three Musketeers” on an adventure. She devoted the majority of her time and energy to her boys, always sharing her life-passions with them. She was a devout Christian, who enjoyed a close relationship with her church family.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11:00AM at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rochester.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Macken Funeral Home in Charge of Arrangements. www.mackenfuneralhome.com
