Truman D. Moulton

The Funeral Service for Truman Moulton will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Tupper officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30PM – 7:00PM, Monday, November 16, 2015 in the River Park Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wasioja, following the funeral lunch.

Truman Daniel Moulton, 93, of Rochester, died at his home on Thursday, November 12, 2015.

He was born on February 21, 1922 in Dodge Center to True and Marion (Franklin) Moulton.  On September 25, 1948, he married Arleen Weis in Rochester, where they began their life together.  They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage.  Mrs. Moulton survives.

Truman served in the United States Army and as a young man, farmed in SE Minnesota for many years.  He worked for Mayo Clinic and then was a self employed businessman in the transportation industry for over 53 years.

He is survived by 4 children; Dan (Sue) Moulton of Chatfield, Dixie (John) Reesor of Shakopee, Dewey Moulton of Oronoco and Dennis (Jill) Moulton of Nisswa; 7 grandchildren, Kelly, Craig, Alison, Tyler, Samantha, Andrea and Karlee Jo and one sister Beverly (John) Stanco of Eau Claire, Wi.  He was preceded in death by his parents, True and Marion Moulton and 4 sisters.

Truman worked hard at providing a college education for his 4 children, and eventfully finished his own education, attaining a G.E.D. around the age of 58. He was a member of the Rochester American Legion and the Oronoco VFW.   He was a Councilman for Oronoco City and also a board member on the Wasioja Cemetery Association. For the last few years, he became the primary caregiver for his wife.
