Tia Marie Luebbe
Tia Marie Luebbe, age 38, passed away on December 22, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1987, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Jeffrey Podolske and Cheryl Andrist.
Tia began her education at Sunset Terrace Elementary School in Rochester and later attended Kasson-Mantorville schools. She lived life on her terms and authentically, guided by a free spirit that defined who she was.
Tia had a deep passion for music. especially heavy metal at volume 10. She loved tattoos, snakes, and everything that reflected her bold personality. Though fearless and tough on the outside, those who knew her best understood that she was incredibly sweet, kind, and tender-hearted on the inside.
At the age of 16, Tia was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. True to her nature, she met the disease head-on as a stubborn and determined fighter. Time and again, she outperformed expectations and refused to let her diagnosis define her. Outside of doctor appointments, Tia chose to live life fully, spending time with friends and family, attending concerts, and chasing joy while holding a cold Coors Light in her hand. She especially loved seeing Ozzy Osbourne in concert and attending Rock Fest, experiences that brought her true happiness.
Tia is survived by her mother, Cheryl Luebbe; father, Jeff Podolske; stepfather, Terry Luebbe; sisters, Raya (Isaac) Louks, Addison Luebbe, and Brooklin Podolske; nephews, Conway and Waylon Louks; maternal grandfather, Willard (Patti) Andrist; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Geraldine Andrist; paternal grandparents, Chuck and Julie Podolske; and her aunt and uncle, Sherry and Bernie Kubat.
A time to celebrate Tia’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12th St. SE, Rochester. Tia didn’t go anywhere without a band t-shirt on and we believe it would make her smile to see all of her loved ones in their favorite band t-shirt. Brownie points if it’s one of her favorite heavy metal bands!

I’m completely heartbroken. I had the gift of being with Tia for almost five months while in Lake City. I truly truly loved her. At the time of our first meeting she seemed a little spicy. But she wasn’t. She was ALL heart. And she was so funny. I laughed with her so loudly that our stomachs would hurt. I’ve moved back home to Savannah, but I will try to do all I can to be there. I know she was loved by her family, and she deeply loved them. I stayed in touch with her, even after she had forgotten me and was at Homestead. I know she is in Heaven with her favorite musicians and her grandparents and Aunt whom she loved. I got to know her Papa Chuck and heard so much about Julie. I hope they are having a concert for her and finally she is dancing and singing to each song. She must have stopped by me in spirit yesterday. All I could do was think of her, even telling a story about her to a friend of mine. This was before I heard this news. My heart, love and prayers go out to each of you, her parents and all of her sisters. 🙏🙏🙏💕. Fly free my friend. The world will miss you, but now you can do all you ever dreamed of in heaven
We hardly knew one another. I 🙏 pray for your family and the loss of you. Rest in peace, Tia.
The memories we shared together and the experiences, are ones I will never forget. Our friendship was one I will cherish forever. Love you sweet girl. Rest easy.
We are so very sorry for the loss of beautiful, beloved Tia. We never met her, but we know the family and we send her family and friends much love and our deepest sympathy. Our daughter suffers from MS such a horrible disease. Her body may be gone, but her spirit is with you all. Look for signs. She's all around you. Whether it's a song that comes on at the right time. Whether it's a butterfly or a hummingbird or a wind chime or the seeing the number 1111, which is an angel number. She seemed to have lived a full life and was a force here on Earth. I have a feeling she will make herself seen in spirit to those she loves. Speak of her often. Keep her name in daily conversations. She will be around watching all of the people she loves. Lean on friends and family in this time of sorrow. It is what has helped me with so much loss the past few years. Keeping her memory alive will put a smile on your face and laughter in your heart. Even though we didn't know her, we are sure she left a lot of really wonderful memories to be shared. May the angels surround you and comfort you all. We are so very sorry for the loss of Beautiful Tia. I think we would have gotten along really good with her.She seemed like a real fun person to be around. May peace be with you.
Rest easy my beautiful friend. TNT forever.
