Thomas John Reichert

On Tuesday October 6th, 2020, Thomas John Reichert, a loving husband, father, step-father, and grandfather passed away in his home at the age of 62.

Tom was born on November 11, 1957 to Theodore and Delores (St. Mars) Reichert in Faribault, Minnesota. He served in the US Army as a tank mechanic and was later a traveling salesman for DeBauche Truck & Diesel. Tom loved what he did, the people he worked for and with, and the customers he served. He raised two daughters, Jessica (Brad) and Samantha, with wife Cheryl Lynn (married 1992, divorced 2013) before marrying Dawn Rae White on November 15, 2014. Her children, Desirae (Steven) and Jeremy (Amy), also held a special place in his heart.

Tom loved golfing, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was always smiling, quick with a joke, and loved to make people laugh. He was caring, compassionate, and had a very big heart. Tom was true to his faith and his love for God, never failing to trust in Him or His will, knowing that God is in control and would always see him through. “Give it to God,” was a phrase he often used.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jeffrey; and a niece, Jacqueline. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Jessica (Brad) and Samantha; his step-children, Desirae (Steven) and Jeremy (Amy); father-in-law Roland (Donna); seven grandchildren, a brother, six sisters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Shaffer officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
