The memorial service for Shirley Ann Ingalls will be Saturday, October 17 at 11:00 AM at Salem Road Covenant Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Mark Evinger officiating. Burial will be at Sherburn Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. Ingalls, 70, of Rochester, died at Golden Living Center east on October 14 following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 8, 1939 in Serburn, MN. She graduated from Welcome High School in 1957. On February 6, 1965 she married Gerald Ingalls at The Little Brown Church. Mr. Ingalls died on May 12, 1996. Shirley arrived at Golden Living Center East on February 23, 2009.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Patricia Mesenbring and Nancy Whitehead; brothers, Frederick Whitehead, William Whitehead, Kenneth Whitehead and Stephen Whitehead. Survivors include daughters Rae Parker of Rochester, Kay (Randy) Dahlman of Rochester; son Todd (Adele) Ingalls of Rochester; siblings Marvin Whitehead of Shoreview, MN, Dorothy Suddendorf-Bourquin of Byron, MN, Robert Whitehead of Sherburn, MN and James Whitehead of Fairmont, MN; grandchildren Jennifer (Duane) Mullholland of Rochester, Gregory (Laces) Vaughn of Rochester, Daniel Vaughn of Rochester, Natalie Ingalls of Tennessee, Stacy Parker of Rochester and Joshua Parker of Rochester; Great-grandchildren Chase and Connard Mulholland of Rochester, and Benjamin Vaughn of Rochester, and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was an accountant at Crenlo for 39 years, retiring on June 8, 2001. She was involved in the Crenlo EAC, and was a Junior Achievement mentor. She enjoyed traveling by motorcycle, going to the casino and gambling. She loved playing cards with friends and family, Pie Days at Baker’s Square, and would never miss an episode of Wheel of Fortune and All My Children.
