Sharon Marie DeWitt, 74 originally of Caledonia, MN, passed away on August 17, 2018, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Sharon was born on March 15, 1944, to Ted and Dorothy DeWitt. She graduated from Loretto High School in Caledonia in 1962. She spent most of her life in Seattle, WA, working for Space Labs Medical Technology. Following retirement in 2010, she moved to Rochester. She volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House locally.
She is survived by her siblings Lorrie (Joe) Schieber of Caledonia and Bob DeWitt of La Crescent. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Leslie (Adam) McClellan of Durham, NC, Emily (Sean) Lafferty and Sara (Bill Cowett) Pladson both of Ramsey, MN, Justin DeWitt of La Crescent, Kim (Dana) Pongratz of La Crescent, Scott (Deanna) DeWitt of Caledonia, Connie (Tony) Wermager of Hokah, MN, her sister-in-law Marilyn of Caledonia, and her dear friends Joel (Qamar) Fritz and family of Rochester.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Roger and her sister Linda.
A Memorial Gathering for Sharon will be held on Wednesday August 22, 2018, from 2:30pm until 4:30pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home (1119 11 ½ Street SE Rochester, MN 55904).

Sorry to hear of your sisters passing. She was my age and even shared my birthdate. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
My deepest condolences to Sharon's family. Sharon has been a member of the Rochester Public Library and our Night Owl book club for the last few years. She was a great lover of books. We will miss having her at our monthly meetings.

So sorry to hear of your sister Sharon's death. I hadn't seen her in years. How long had she been sick? I did not realize she lived in the Rochester area?
