Rochelle, 59, died at St. Mary’s hospital on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 of health complications following a car accident in October of 2012 that she never fully recovered from. Rochelle was born December 26th, 1953 in Rochester to the late Galen and Virginia Raymond. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1972. While in high school, she played the saxophone with the band. She then went on to continue her education at Rochester Vocational/Technical College to receive her Health Unit Coordinator certificate. Following graduation she secured employment as a Health Unit Coordinator (Unit Secretary) at Mayo Clinic.
On July 15, 1979 she welcomed the birth of twin boys who filled her heart to overflowing. She gladly donated the majority of her free time chasing her boys from one sport to the next. She enjoyed every opportunity to watch them play sports, particularly baseball. She took great pride in watching them develop their talents and also their friendship as brothers with a close bond who were rarely separated. She taught them to work hard and helped them seek opportunities to make extra money to help pay for sports even if it was a hockey stick or baseball mitt. She accepted the role of both mother and father willingly and put her whole heart and soul into making sure they had the best chance to succeed with whatever they choose to do in life. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was knowing that she raised two young boys to be great men and fathers.
On August 16th, 2003 Rochelle met her significant other, Randy Weber and resided with him in Eyota, MN. In her spare time Rochelle loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Rochelle also LOVED to shop! She also enjoyed every opportunity she had to make and decorate a cake for a friend or family member. She was naturally gifted with many artistic abilities.
Survivors include her significant other Randy Weber of Eyota, MN; (2) sons, Ryan (Christine) Raymond and Chad (Bridget) Raymond of Rochester, MN; (3) grandchildren, Lauren, Cooper, and Emmett Raymond of Rochester, MN; (2) sisters, Gayle (David) Willingham of Ladysmith, WI; Wanda (Ross) Trogstad of Eyota, MN; (2) brothers, Layton (Paulette) Raymond from Rochester, MN; Gary (Nancy) Raymond of Branson, MO; a brother-in-law Duane Stensrud of Marion, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents Galen and Virginia Raymond, and her sister Anita Stensrud preceded her in death.
Memorials are preferred to the family. Macken Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements and online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com

The family of Rochelle “Shelly” Raymond has received the following condolences.
We were neighbors in the late 80's at the Hylands. I remember Shelly as being a great mom to her boys. They were very lucky to have her. She was also a very caring, thoughtful neighbor. My sympathies to Chad and Ryan and all of her family.

Remembering my cousin with happy thoughts and warm memories. Wishing that we were closer to all of you to be able to celebrate Shelly's life with you, but we are with you in thought and prayer.
