Robert Mariotti
Giovanni “Robert” Mariotti joined God on Sunday July 31, 2016. He was 88 years old. Bob was born at Mother Cabrini Hospital in Chicago, Illinois on June 24, 1928. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June, 1945 and served for 18 months before his discharge. He moved to Rochester in 1949 and later joined the Rochester Fire Department from which he retired.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and competitive marksmanship. He often would introduce the inexperienced to these activities and guide their progress.
Survivors include spouse Melinda, son Robert (Sandy), daughter Mona; grandchildren B.J. (Stephanie), Marie (Blake), Mia and Jason; great grandchildren Miah, Myles, Isabella, Dominick, Luca and Bradley; siblings Donald (Joanne) Perini, Donna Jean (Ron) Brambora and Rinaldo Mariotti.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Marie and parents Renato and Ida.
A private family service will be held at Macken Funeral Home with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
