Robert Christopherson
Robert G. Christopherson of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully at home with his wife Margaret by his side. Robert died February 14, 2024. Robert was born May 11, 1930 in Goodhue, MN to Kenneth and Clara (Harth) Christopherson. Robert grew up in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1948 where he played basketball and baseball. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golfing and was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds.
He married Ardeth Smith in 1950 and they were blessed with four sons. They later divorced. On October 30, 1970, he married Margaret Siems and had a son.
Robert was a maintenance painter and worked as a painter at St. Marys Hospital. He retired in 1992.
He and his wife enjoy traveling the world, enjoyed many winters in warm climates with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret; sons Stewart (Shelly) and Martin; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons Blake, David and infant son Charles and 1 brother, Richard.
Memorial service will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with a visitation 1 hour prior at the church.

Bob was a friend of my father's for many years and it was always good to visit with him.

Sad to hear of his passing.. Knew the Christopherson family... The store(Morningside grocery) Still brings back memories of my childhood. My family of 14 lived just a 1/2 block away.....I bowled against Bob(his sons too) at the old Tropic bowl . ALWAYS had a smile and story to tell....R I P Bob The Smith family
He was a wonderful man,he introduced me to my future husband.I was with his wife Marge when she met Bob.We played cards together every Sat. night.
