Richard V. Bowman

A visitation for Richard V. Bowman will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Thursday August 4, 2016 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home.  A private family burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, at a later date.

Mr. Bowman, age 80, of Rochester passed away at St. Marys Hospital on August 1, 2016.  Richard was born on July 23, 1936 to Edward and Mary Bowman in Mora, MN.

He was a United States Army veteran serving from 1959 to 1963.  He married Doris A. (Berg) Bowman on November 14, 1959 in McGrath, MN.  Doris passed on August 2, 2005.  Richard was a truck driver for S&S Moving and Storage for decades.

Survivors include children George, Fred, Edward and Joseph Bowman all of Rochester;  Deborah (Charles) Daskam of Harmony and Laurie (Tom) Calhoon of Spearfish, SD. Nine grandchildren and five great grand-children.  He is preceded in death by parents, his wife Doris; one grandson Steven and his eight brothers and three sisters.
