Condolences
The family of Richard “Dick” David Mahon has received the following condolences.
Marlene and family,
I am so sorry to read of Dick's passing. I'll certainly remember all the good times we had going and listening to Morey......at the Golden Guitar. We had such fun! My thoughts are with you, Marlene, and prayers to the family, too.
Marlene, so sorry to read about Dick. My sincere condolences....Roaie
My Dear Deb,
I am so sorry to hear the loss of your father. I have never met your father but I felt like I knew him thanks to your good stories about him.
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Vaea
Deepest sympathy for Dick's family. We can look forward to the promise at Isaiah 25:8 – “God will swallow up death forever, Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” Death is an enemy that separates us from our loved ones. When this promise is fulfilled, we will have the joy of seeing our loved ones resurrected (John 5:28, 29). Then we can enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth. (Psalms 37:9, 11)
It is certainly with sadness that we will say goodbye to my brother on Thursday. But the memories of all the hard work on the farm and the fun we had doing it will always remain with me. So will the deer hunting and late night coon hunts, when I remember riding in the back of the '58 Chevy station wagon with the dogs after they mistook a skunk for a coon. Sure got some funny looks from the kids at school the next day. Mostly Kathy and I will remember him as a good man with a great family. So Dick, May all your coon hunts end at the tree and all the hides be 50 inches.
Jim
R I P Dick. I'm remembering a very quiet, sincere, guy who rarely missed a Saturday night at the Golden Guitar in Douglas. Hugs and prayers for the family from Ann and myself .
Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. May you find comfort from God's word at Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. Heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I met Dick back in 1967. We both worked at the Holiday Station on South Broadway. Dick worked at St. Mary's and part time at Holiday.
We hit it off right away. We had lots of fun working together and also provided good service.
My wife and I have seen Dick and his wife in the Legion in Stewartville occasionally and we would talk about the "good old days".
I think of Dick every time we go past the Stewartville Legion Club.
I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye but I hope I'll see him again someday.
Dick was a class act!
