Richard “Rich” Allen Jacobsen

The Celebration of Life for Richard “Rich” Allen Jacobsen will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4pm-8pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester.

Mr. Jacobsen, 57, passed away Saturday July 9, 2016 at Rochester Methodist Hospital after battling cancer. Rich was born April 20, 1959 in Pensacola, Florida to David and Catherine Jacobsen.

Rich attended Red Wing Technical College and got his 2-year degree in automotive and prior to his sickness he was employed with Becher Napa Auto Parts in Rochester.

He is survived by two sons, Ryan (Stacy) Jacobsen of Rochester and Cody (Sean) Jacobsen of Red Wing; one grandson, Rayce Jacobsen; two sisters, Linda Goodwin of Helena, MT and Patti (Mike) Reigel of Fairmont, MN; three nieces and three nephews.

Rich enjoyed helping his son Ryan with his stock car and going racing. He also enjoyed helping his other son Cody restore a boat that the family owned when they were young. Rich was also looking forward to creating memories with his grandson that he was very proud of and adored. Rich was an outdoorsy person and loved anything to do with cars. He was a very kind, loving, and generous man.

Rich was the nicest man I knew and would always stop to help you with anything. Sorry he had to go so soon. We will miss you Richard.

I worked with Rich at the NAPA store and always appreciated his friendliness and kindness. He will be greatly missed.
