Rebecca “Becca” S. Thalacker
Rebecca “Becca” S. Thalacker, went to be with the Lord on November 1 very unexpectedly.
Becca was born to Ricky A. Thalacker and LaVerne A. Thalacker (Miller) on April 6, 1981 in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Unity High School, Wisconsin in 1999. She moved to the LaCrosse area and met many friends. Becca had a passion for horses unlike most which inspired her to travel to Belgium and work with an Arabian horse stable. She moved home to be closer to her nephews and niece. Becca adored them and was the Godmother of her niece, Lucille. Becca met her fiancé Duane Calhoun on March 20, 2013. Duane says she was the ying to his yang and she complimented him in ways no one else could. Duane’s daughter, Bekah, was Rebecca’s bonus child. In 2015, Becca and Duane were blessed with their miracle baby, Charlie. Becca was passionate about many things, horses, useless knowledge, books, coca~cola, Hardees, and much more. But nothing had her passion more than her children, Bekah and Charlie; her niece, Lucy; and her nephews, Jordan, Bobby, and Brady.
Becca is survived by her mother, LaVerne Thalacker; children, Bekah and Charlie; fiancé, Duane Calhoun; brothers, Andrew (Ariel) Thalacker and James (Tristin) Thalacker; sister, Charlene Thalacker; grandmother, Arlene Miller; grandfather, William Thalacker; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
Becca is preceded in death by her father, Ricky Thalacker; brother, Robert Thalacker; grandmother, Patricia Thalacker; grandfather, Vincent Miller; and Uncle Chuck Thalacker.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends, Tuesday, November 6 at Macken Funeral Home, River Park Chapel in Rochester, MN. A visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be provided to share memories and grieve and support one another.

I was sorry to see your family’s sudden loss, please accept my sincere condolences. When I’ve lost friends, I have personally found encouragement from remembering the Bible’s promise that soon God “will swallow up death forever” (Isaiah 25:8) and that he will bring about a resurrection of our loved ones (John 5:28, 29). I hope you find these as comforting as I have.
