The visitation for Polly Lou Zodrow will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00pm in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester.
Mrs. Zodrow, 61, of Rochester, died with her husband, family and friends by her side Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at her home in Rochester. Polly had small cell lung cancer. Polly was born October 7, 1954 in Rochester to James and Helen (Dornack) Smart.
Polly graduated from John Marshall High School. She married Scott Zodrow March 17, 1995 in Rochester. Polly was the owner operator of The Spa Tavern in Rochester and later worked as the deli manager for Barlows, Econo Foods, Rainbow, and was the manager of the Garden Restaurant and the Wunder Bar in Rochester.
Survivors include her husband, Scott, her son, Jason Steele of Stewartville, MN,, her daughter Christa Steele-Mann, her brother, Charles (Val) Smart of Rochester, and her three grandchildren, Miranda, Jakob, and Jaelyn. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Smart, and her brother, Steve Smart.
Polly loved spending time with her family, especially swimming with her grandchildren. She also loved her dog, Lucas, and her cat, Sammy. She spent lots of time listening to country music.Polly was very giving, always putting the needs of others before herself.
The family would like to thank the staff of Season’s Hospice for the exceptional care that they gave to Polly.

I was so sorry to hear about Polly. We were classmates at John Marshall. We were not close friends but I will always remember she
had a smile on her face. I am sure she will be deeply missed by family and friends. My heart goes out to her family and may you
have wonderful memories of her to make your days brighter.

Polly was an amazing and courageous woman for what she went through. She was a very kind hearted person and will be greatly missed! Stay strong and remember the good memories with her for that's the way she would want it.
Polly was a caring loving cousin and friend. I have great memories of growing up with her. Polly always seemed to think of others before herself. She definitely was an Angel here on Earth. She will missed by many. But we all have great memories of her that will help ease the pain. She will always be with us . Love you Polly you will always be in our hearts.
