Petronella “Nella” Luck

Petronella Georgina Christina Luck, 92 of Rochester, passed away peacefully at her home on April 9, 2021.

Nella Cockerill was born on November 23, 1928 in Peterborough, England to Walter and Grace (Shepherd) Cockerill. She completed her education in England, and for a time worked for Weetabix Cereal and as a seamstress.  On April 24, 1948 she married Maurice William Luck. In 1953, they immigrated to the United States and settled in Rochester Minnesota. Together, they raised three children. Nella was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She also worked as Head Housekeeper at Motel 6 in Rochester. Nella enjoyed traveling and being with her family.

She is survived by her children: Anita (John) Tupper of Rochester, Wayne of Rochester, Roxanne (Robert) German of Corona, CA, grandchildren: Christopher Tupper, Malinda Tupper, Jeffrey Tupper, Alexander Luck, Audray Luck, Brandon German, Megan (Chase) Baker, Michael German, Marshall German, great-granchildren: Skylar, Bailey, Zachary, Rylan, Wyatt, Tristan, baby Asher, Hunter, Kristin, Hudson, Rilley, Logan and Harrison. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Strals (97yrs) of Wellingborough, England and her children Josephine, Tony and Mark all of England.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, three great-grandchildren, and her parents.

The Funeral Service for Nella will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Jason Burggraff officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester.
