Peggy L. Jendersee

The memorial service for Peggy L. Jendersee will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 12, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Anjanette Bandel officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Elkton, MN. at a later date. Visitation will be held Sunday March 11, 2012, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at church on Monday.

Mrs. Jendersee, 71, of Rochester died Thursday March 8, 2012 at Rochester Methodist Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer eighteen days prior.

Peggy was born August 24, 1940 in Albert Lea, MN.  to Charles and Gladys (Newlon) Twitchell. She married Harvard Jendersee August 16, 1959. They raised their family in Rochester, and both retired from IBM. They spent winters in Florida and summers in Park Rapids, MN.

Survivors include Kellie (Mike) Strobel of Lindstrom, MN; KC Jendersee of Arlington WA.; Kammi Books of Rochester, MN.;  Kori Jendersee of Rochester, MN.; Kyle Jendersee of Naples, FL.; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by three sisters, Patti Harvey of New Brighton, MN.; Penne (Gaylord) Gossard of Dodge Center, MN.;  Polly (Doug) Glynn of Grand Meadow, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Peggy loved shopping for the perfect gift, reading many books, classic movies, baking, history, genealogy, taking grandkids to the theater, family holidays, spending time with her husband and her many cherished friendships.
