A Celebration of Life for Patricia Anne Lingen will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester, with Pastor Charles Ortloff officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one half hour prior to the service at the church.
Patricia “Pat” Anne Lingen, 64, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital.
Pat was born March 22, 1947 in Wabasha, Minnesota to Matthew and Ila (Irish) Lyons. She graduated from Plainview High School. After graduation, Pat moved to the Twin Cities where she worked at Western Bell. In 1985, she moved to Wabasha where she met Dale Baker and worked at the Anderson House. Pat also worked at Bouquet Enterprise in Kellogg. Later, Pat and Dale moved to Rochester.
Survivors include her life partner of 28 years, Dale Baker; two sons, Danny (DeAnn) Baker of Rochester and Troy of Wabasha; one daughter, Angela (Patrick) Baker of Wabasha; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Austen, Lauren, Morgen, Landon and Gavin; two sisters, Sandra Steffen of Stewartville and Theresa (Smiley) Loomis of Pine Island; two brothers, Edward (Sally) Lyons of Plainview and Rich (Tara) Lyons of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her parents.
Pat loved cross-stitching, sewing, crafting and garage sales. She also enjoyed biking, power-boating, snowmobiling, and cruising the roads in their 1935 Chevrolet coupe, Corvette convertible with Gretchen. Pat and Dale enjoyed many weekends at local car shows and casinos. Mostly, Pat loved her family very much.
Memorials may be given to the family at Pat’s benefit on March 31, 2012.
