Patricia A. Klingsporn

The family of Patricia Ann (Tobin) Klingsporn of Rochester, MN is saddened to announce her passing on April 28, 2025, at the age of 94 years.

Born on August 11, 1930, in Fairmont, MN, Patricia, nicknamed Patsy or Pat, was the oldest of eight children born to Adrian and Susan (Lonergan) Tobin. She grew up on the Tobin family farm in East Chain, MN where she helped her father work the farm.

On February 17, 1948, Patricia married Albert J. Klingsporn Jr.  Together they built a life with their five children. She led a full life with employment at the Kahler Hotel and Michael’s Restaurant in the early years and eventually retired after a long and dedicated career at the Mayo Clinic Surgical Blood Bank. In her free time, she enjoyed many hobbies, including the Pine Island Riders Saddle Club, Maple Leaf 4-H Club, dancing, and volunteer work.

Pat is survived by her children: Rodney (Bonnie), Linda (Mike) Nicklay, Mavis Loftus, Chuck (Patti), and Dan (Brenda); 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and her 7 siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Klingsporn Jr., her parents, Adrian and Susan Tobin, son-in-law, Dean Loftus, and great-great granddaughter Grace Anne Swanson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12th St. S.E., Rochester, MN 55904 with a luncheon to follow.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  Mayo Alzheimer Disease Research Center, (ADRC), 3033 41st ST NW, Room 2-602, Rochester, MN 55901 in Patricia’s honor.

Patricia’s zest for life, strong work ethic and personal fulfillment in the care of others touched many lives and will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will be forever treasured by her loving family and countless friends.
