Pamalia “Pam” Sivly
Pamalia “Pam” Mary (Breault) Sivly died on April 1st, 2026 surrounded her family. Pam was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on December 31, 1942 to Leslie Francis Breault and Virtle (Winans) Breault. She grew up in Rochester and graduated in 1961 from Lourdes High School where she enjoyed being a part of the Triple Trio Choir. She met the love of her life, Jon C. Sivly, and they were united in marriage on June 19th, 1965 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester.
In 1961, Pam was accepted into St. Mary’s School of Nursing and graduated in 1964. She became a head nurse and an Educational Nursing Coordinator. Pam returned to school to become a specialized nurse and Nurse Clinician in Enterostomal Therapy in 1974. Pam was known for always putting the needs of her patients first, responding to consults, coaching nurses and residents, and sharing her expertise and knowledge. She touched the lives of all of her patients and those that worked and learned from her. She retired in 2010 after 45 years of service. Her dedication and commitment to her nursing profession was extraordinary.
Besides being a legendary nurse, she was an extraordinary baker. She was famous for her cinnamon rolls, delicious bars, Christmas goodies and cookies and her infamous homemade caramels. She enjoyed baking for others to spread kindness and happiness. Pam also enjoyed her birds, her plants, her flowers and all the animals that would come and visit her various birdfeeders. She especially loved to shop and loved her cats, many of which were rescued and appeared on her back deck. Most of all, she and her husband enjoyed traveling on their Honda Goldwing where they spent many miles enjoying the scenery and life on the road. They especially enjoyed Sturgis Bike Rallies and were known to stay in Dead Wood, South Dakota, where they were well-known and met many friends. She loved playing bingo, dancing, and spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her oldest son John (Pam) Sivly, her twin daughters SeAnn and Shawn (Julian Tenney) of Seattle, her youngest son Shad and her grandchildren: Camryn, Caitlyn, Mercy and Luna Sivly and Maddie Kropp. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Pamalia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a resilient nurse and mother to many. Her sense of being a nurse was evident throughout her life whether it was helping her patients, her family, or her friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Humane Society or your local pet shelter.
The memorial service for Pam will held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in June of 2026. The date and time of the service will be announced at a later date.
