Myron John Jostock

Myron John Jostock, age 84 of Rochester died peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital.

Myron was born on March 29, 1928 in rural Millville, MN to John and Elizabeth (Kohn) Jostock. His family farmed in the rural Hammond and Breman area.  He attended rural Wabasha County schools. From 1951 to 1953 he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He met and married Marilyn German (from Goodhue) on September 4, 1954 in Rochester. Myron was a dedicated employee of Marigold Dairy (Kemps) for 36 years as a driver/salesman delivering house-to-house, later as a semi driver, and finally as a technician in the Milk Lab. He retired in 1990.  Myron enjoyed working in the yard, having morning coffee with his buddies and dancing. He had a passion for buying new cars and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 92, the Eagles Club, and Resurrection Catholic Church.

Myron is survived by his devoted and loving wife Marilyn, three children, Nancy Kasprzak of Shorewood, MN, Kathy (Richard) Barry of Eden Prairie and Lonnie Jostock of Rochester, five grandchildren: Michael, Kelly, Brian, Scott, and Kevin.

Condolences

The family of Myron John Jostock has received the following condolences.

Myron Jostock Family,

I always enjoyed Myron & Marilyn. When they built there new home they would ask very good questions about the equipment and the systems we were going to install. Myron was always with a smile and pleasant to do business with. You can call me anytime with questions. Myron's passing will take a long time of memories and good times!

My condolences,

Steve Green

My condolences go out to the Jostock family.  When I was a wee little tot, we lived a few doors down from the Jostocks on 15th Street.  We moved to Worthington, MN (Jerry and Diane are my parents) in 1977, so it has been a long time, to say the least.  My father Jerry (Jerome) is interred at Grandview, in the veteran's section.  I take comfort in the fact that old neighbors will soon be new neighbors once again.  Every time I drive by, I always remember "the yellow house on the corner"!
