Michael S. Weatherly

A visitation for Michael Weatherly will be from 4:30pm – 7:30pm on Monday February 22, 2016 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home (1105 12th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904) with Pastor Sarah Brown officiating. Internment at Grandview Memorial Gardens following the service.

Michael Scott Weatherly, 55, of Rochester passed away Sunday February 14, 2016 at his home of Natural causes.

Michael was born February 21, 1960 in Rochester to Joyce & Clifford Weatherly. He graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester & was employed at RMH as a pharmacy tech. He then worked for Bigelow construction before an injury left him disabled. Despite his disability, Mike was able to work at variety of jobs, though ABC. He particularly enjoyed an assignment fabricating hunting decoys. Throughout his life, Mike enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. He also was in Boy Scouts for many years.

Mike is survived by 2 sons Kevin Weatherly (Kery Erickson) of Chatfield, Scott Weatherly (Shyrl) of Rochester; 2 Step-sons Aaron Peterson (Shanna) of Stewartville, Ricky (Mindy) Hay of Rochester; 2 Step-Daughters Maranda (Rick) Belko of New Richmon WI. and Jennifer (Rick) Mart of Rochester; Ted, his companion dog and 16 Grandchildren; His brother Mark Weatherly (Carol) of Kasson; 3 sisters Nancy Weatherly (Don) of Rochester; Robin Ratcliff (Tim) of Rochester; Cindy Weatherly (Mike) of Rochester; 2 Nieces and 5 Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Josie Mastenbrook. Parents Clifford & Joyce Weatherly, Son Adam Weatherly, Grand-Daughter Janessa, Niece Chanda Lea Evenson.

oh man what do I say mike and I like so many others ,mike was like a brother to me we and all of are other friends would laugh and mess around and just plan out have fun mike was a kind person who would plain out do anything for you not once in are in tire life's did I see him get mad or upset I remember when his mom and dad got him his first car a 1976 chevy impala after school we would go out and party oooooh the good time's well mike? you may have left us but i'm sure I can say for a lot of people YOU WILL NOT BE FOR GOTTEN RIP MY BROTHER I WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS.


 

I am a cousin on the Weatherly side. My parents were Roger and Rene Mueske. May Michael RIP.

Condolences to the Weatherly family and friends. I had the pleasure of driving Mike to where he needed to go over the last couple of years. He was a kind man and always laughing. It was a joy to transport him. We always would joke and talk about many different things. I knew parts of his family personally as well for many years. I think I can speak for the other R&S drivers as well in saying we'll miss you Mike, RIP. On a personal note plz say hi to Adam for me. I hope that you are able to be reunited with him and your other friends and family that have passed before you. RIP.

Mike was my brother in law a few years back.  I hadn't seen him in a while.  But I remember his smile and his fun and friendly way about him.  I'm sure he will be missed by many.  My sympathy goes out to Kevin, Scott, and the rest of the Weatherly family.

Mike you will be missed.  I appreciate the opportunity I had when Elder Network paired us up several years ago.  Jerriah and I looked forward to the weekly meetings.  She loved having you help with homework and I got to try out new recipes for supper.  You touched our lives in a profound way.    

Mike was our Best Man in our Wedding 35yrs ago He was kind and would do anything for you ,Mike and my Husband have known each other their whole lives they were in Scouts together and had the best of times ,Mike you will be missed.Love Laurie and Chuck
