Condolences
The family of Mavis D. Mattson has received the following condolences.
My condolences to Mavis' family. I was not able to attend the visitation. I worked with Mavis at Daytons in the Coat Department when I first got out of college in the late 70's. Mavis treated me like a daughter. We was wonderful to work with. I enjoyed her energy and sense of dedication to her job. I hadn't seen Mavis for several years but thought of her often, never forgetting my time working with her. I was sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed. My prayers go out to you and I pray that you will take comfort in memories of her.

I am sad that I will no longer get to visit with my very special friend, Mavis when I come to Rochester. We had some awesome visits, the last one being in October. Always when we parted she said well I'll either see you here or there next time. I guess I got used to seeing her in her apartment and started thinking she would always be there. She treated me with so much love and respect and it was an honor to be her friend. I could always count on Mavis to tell me the way it was and not beat around the bush. Best of all was to share our belief in our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. My heart warms as I think this Christmas Mavis will be in His presence ! Wow, what a joyous time she will have and yes, I will see you there next time, dear Mavis. Your suffering has ended and your eternity in God's presence has begun. Praise the Lord !!
