May God be with you and your family at this time of loss. At times like this there is not much you can say or do to take the hurt away. Tom, the last time we were able to see each other was pre-deployment training at Fort McCoy for the Persian Gulf War. On behalf of all former 1st Platoon members of the 79th Military as well as all the Officers and Enlisted soldiers I would like to relay our condolences to you and your family. When the opportunity is available, we should try to get together for a cup of coffee.

Sincerely;

Robert J. Schmidt
