Mary Josephine Clark

Mary Josephine Clark, 79, of Rochester, died Sunday, March 10, 2019.  Mary was born on April 8, 1939 in Gaza, Iowa to Otto and Ethel (Mathern) Clark.  She moved with her family as a young girl to rural Worthington where she grew up on the family farm and attended Worthington schools.  Mary graduated from Worthington High School in 1957.  Mary worked at St. Marys Hospital, IBM and St. Francis of Assisi School and later volunteered driving for Olmsted County.

Mary enjoyed driving for the county and the people she drove.  She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church for many years.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Lois Sehr of New Ulm, Verna Schons of Owatonna and Virginia Norgaarden of Rochester and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim Clark and Jack Clark; sisters, Colleen Clark and Catherine O’Brien.

The Memorial Mass for Mary Clark will be at 11am Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Berning officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.

Condolences

The family of Mary Josephine Clark has received the following condolences.

You were my comfort, for however brief, You Sister Mary will always be in my heart.

We would have such a nice visit when we ran into Mary.  She would love when we told her a joke and  she would  get a twinkle in her eye and a big grin on her face.

Our daughter would come home from kindergarten at St. Francis school and tell us about the nice lady who would help her with her shoes and coat.

She had a hard time learning  to tie her shoes and Mary would  take her time to help her learn. I'm sure with the kind way she was it  made it easy

I'm sure Mary is at peace with our Lord and Blessed Lady  whom I know she loved  with all her heart

Our blessings to all of Mary's family.
