Mary Jane Nash

Mary Jane Nash was born May 7, 1927 in Austin, MN to John Judd and Mary (Rink) Judd.

She graduated from St. Augustine High School in Austin in 1946. She started working in the office of Hormel Foods Corporation in her senior year of high school and worked there for eleven years. Mary married Floyd E. Nash in Queen of Angels Church in Austin on September 3, 1955.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, crosswords puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Mary Jane had a special love for her six great-grandchildren.

Mary Jane is survived by daughter, Barbara Solum of Rochester; sons: John (Jean) Nash of Wisconsin and Robert Nash of Rochester; grandchildren: Amy, Brooke, Richie, and Jordan; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Violet, Gabriel, Arianna, Skylar, and Joyce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nash; siblings: Vern Judd, John Judd (who died in the Korean war) Kay Burroughs; and 17-year-old granddaughter, Samantha, who died in a car accident.

“After I die, I will find Samantha – my beautiful granddaughter. I talk to her all the time, and I know she’s here with me.”

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Russell Scepaniak officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, MN.
