Marcia Ann Whynaucht

Ms. Whynaucht, 54, of Rochester, MN, died Monday, June 3, 2019 peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Marcia was born April 7, 1965 in Rochester, MN to Clayton and Carol Whynaucht. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1983 and later attended Winona Vo Tech Cosmetology School. On May 31, 1986, Marcia married her high school sweetheart, Jeffery Fitzpatrick. Together, they had a son and daughter. They were later divorced.

Survivors include her parents, Clayton and Carol Whynaucht of Rochester, MN; daughter, Danielle (Jon) Jacobson of Grand Meadow, MN; sister, Vicki (Chad) Hanenberger of Eyota, MN; brother, Mark Whynaucht of Rochester, MN; and two grandchildren, Genevieve and Oliver. She is also survived by three nieces, Kami, Christina, Macy; one nephew, Ty; and one great-nephew, Kason.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Jessey Fitzpatrick; and grandparents, Murray and Genevieve Whynaucht, and Jesse and Edith Stevens.

Marcia owned and worked at Cutting Loose Hair Salon in Rochester for fifteen years. She thrived at making people look and feel beautiful. She loved making memories with friends and family, which included taking trips, camping, and shopping. Her two grandchildren were the world to her and she bragged about them every chance she had. She was a selfless and compassionate person, always putting others before herself.

The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Pastor Kim Kyllo officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. To the family of Marcia... What a wonderful person she was. I came to the shop as a client of Brenda's. Marcia always had a smile on her face and a Hello for you. She will always be remembered as a wonderful hairdresser, mom, friend to so many and a wonderful grandma. My prayers to all of you. Regards, Ellen

The loss of a loved one is a very sad and heavy load to bare. May you find comfort at John 5:28,29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” A wonderful future awaits us when we will welcome our dead love ones back. What a terrible loss to your family and to the world in general.  I am so sorry you have to bare this burden.  Hopefully comfort and acceptance will come as time passes.  Losing a child is just the worst ever.  You are in my prayers.

Lois (Stevens) Amundson

Marsha was the sweetest girl.  I had no idea she had grandchildren!  My how time flies.  She will be missed by so many.  I knew her best growing up when she'd come to visit her Mom's father, Jesse Stevens in Bonair, IA, just south of Granger, MN and west of Cresco, IA.  She was one of the many cousins who came and spent time with Grandpa Jesse.  I haven't had a chance to see her in many years; had hoped to see her this month when I came back from Arizona for the Stevens Reunion.  Now I'll see her at her funeral; how tragic.

Much love and thoughts,

Suzanne (Stevens) Anderson
