Malcolm E. Goodman

Malcolm Edward Goodman, 95, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Rochester Health Services East.

Mr. Goodman was born in Preston, Minnesota on September 6, 1924 to Fred and Amanda (Thompson) Goodman in Fillmore County. He attended school in Fountain and Preston, Minnesota prior to entering the Army in 1944. He served in the South Pacific and remained on active duty until 1947. Upon leaving the Army he worked in Rochester until he retired in 1980.

He is survived by Edna Goodman, his sister-in law, and his two nephews, Reece Goodman of Montgomery, TX and Brett Goodman of Austin, TX.

He is preceded in death by his brother, William Fred Goodman.

A memorial gathering will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, Minnesota. A brief prayer service will start at 3:00 p.m. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 92 following the prayer service.

Memorials are preferred to Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota or the American Legion.
