Lytle R. Watson

Funeral Services for Lytle R. Watson will be Monday April 19th at 11:00am at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Rock Dell.

Lytle passed away on April 14, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital  after a brief illness.

He was born July 20, 1930 to Stella and George Watson.  He later married Elaine Staege of Plainview.  They were married for 42 years prior to her death.

Lytle worked at the Byron Elevator and farmed before his retirement .  He enjoyed his family farm and assorted wildlife he shared it with.

In addition to his wife, Lytle was preceded in death by his parents, a brother George Jr. (Bud) and sisters Betty Forney, Beverly Hetlevedt and Alice Vagt.

Survivors’ include his six children, Cindy (Ron) Hicks of Mankato, Scott (Terri) of Byron, Julie (Dwayne) Farnham of Oronoco, Tom (Tina) of Byron, Susan Watson of Rochester and Jean Watson of Byron.

He is also survived by his siblings; Roberta Shay of Rochester, Dick Watson of Rochester and  sister Marie (Walter) Hanenberger.  Grandchildren include Tanna Watson of Austin, Billie (Michael) Cocuzzi of Rochester and Joshua Watson of Byron.  There are 3 great children and many nieces and nephews.

Lytle will be dearly missed by his family and longtime friends and neighbors

Visitation will be from 2: to 5pm Sunday April 18th at the Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
