Lynn Marie Tompkins

The visitation for Lynn Marie Tompkins will be from 11:00AM to 3:00PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.

Lynn Tompkins, 59, of Kasson, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lynn was born December 4, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Dorothy “Jean” (Measel) Peters. She graduated from Byron High School in 1976. On August 27, 1977, she married Dana Tompkins in Byron and they later divorced. She worked as an accountant for several different businesses.

In her free time, she liked to garden, cook, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Chris Tompkins, of Pineville, LA; granddaughter, Annalyse; her father, Charles Peters and step-mother Carol Peters; two brothers, Steven (Patty) Peters, of Lakeville, MN, and Timothy (Paula) Peters, of Rochester, MN; her long-time significant other, Bruce McGowan, of Kasson, and his children, Sean McGowan, Patrick (Andrea) McGowan, and Katie McGowan, and his grandchildren, Cole, Carmen, Marcus, Liam, and Daniel. Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy “Jean” Peters.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Hospital.

Condolences

The family of Lynn Marie Tompkins has received the following condolences.

The loss of a loved one is a very sad and heavy load to bare. May you find comfort at Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I want to extend my condolences to Lynn's family and friends.  Losing someone we love is very difficult.  May God grant you peace and comfort at this most distressing time.


Pray to him for the help needed during this time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy to Lynn's family. I knew her well and spent time with her from 1995 to 20o2.  I pray that she is at peace with God!  


Such a special lady she will be missed!

i am so sorry for the loss of beautiful Lynn. We graduated together and she was always smiling in high school and so warm and kind. I am so sorry as she was taken from this earth way to early. God bless ad prayers for the family and friends.  Sheri Krueger (Trygstad)

I have a fond memory of Lynn at the bowling alley with my daughter Heather for her bd party .she made sure they all had a great time . Bless her spirit
