Lynette Jean Miller

Lynette Jean Miller, age 75, passed away peacefully at Rochester Methodist Hospital on April 9, 2018.

Lynette was born on December 5, 1942 in Finlayson, MN to Albert and Leona (Anderson) Miller. As a young girl, she moved to Dodge Center, MN and graduated from West Concord High School in 1960. After a brief time working for Park Hill Bros Automotive Shop, she began working for Rochester Public Schools in the early 1960s. Lynette retired after over forty years with the Rochester School District. Lynette, along with her twin sister Lynora, joined the Redeemer Lutheran Church family in the late 1960s. The two were inseparable. Along with being very active at Rochester schools, the two were very active at Redeemer Lutheran Church, working with many youths over the years. Lynette was known as a friend by many. Her positive spirit was contagious.

She is survived by her sister, Lynora Miller of Rochester; her brother, Dick (Eileen) Miller of Rochester; three nieces; a nephew; five great-nieces; and one great-great-nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Galen.

The memorial service for Lynette will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial of her ashes will be in the Concord, MN cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the family and Redeemer Lutheran Church of Rochester.

My warmest sympathies to you, Lynora.  I have many fond memories of the both of you since I was young.  Especially when you both directed the Cherub Choir.  Take care and put your strength in the Lord during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to read of Lynettes passing.  Hugs to her family.  I went to school with Lynette and Lynora at Grace Lutheran Church, Dodge Center.  Peace. Kathy Rhodes Rottink, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

My deepest sympathies to you Lynora and everyone else who loved Lynette. I have such fond memories of all of the fun times I had in youth group. Her ever smiling face will always be imprinted in my memory. I know God has welcomed you with open arms. May God’s face shine upon you and your family. Love Lori and Ketan Schwerman.

Lynette was a warm and kind lady.  I worked with her at Friedell and knew her to be so knowledgeable about the office and so willing to help those of us learning our way.  Her sense of humor was a source of relief and delight to all.  Lynora, no doubt you will miss your twin and best friend.  I hope you find peace in your memories of time spent together.
