Luke Caridad Dy Quiangco

Luke, 37, of Rochester, MN, formerly of San Fernando, La Union, Philippines, passed away peacefully on Friday the 15th of July at 7:15 in the morning. Luke was born on November 14, 1978 in Ilagan, Isabela, Philippines to Eriberto and Salvacion Dy Quiangco.

He graduated in Saint Louis College, San Fernando, La Union, Philippines with double major in Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. On June 15, 2000 he married Maria Dorothy Anes at Saint William the Hermit Cathedral, San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. Prior to the church wedding, they had a civil wedding in Rochester, MN on January 5, 1999.

Luke was a dedicated Mayo Clinic employee for almost 10 years. He started August 2006.

Luke is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three children, Darren and Joshua (Twins) and Jacob ages 18 and 12; parents, Eriberto and Salvacion and siblings Paul, Leo and Jonas.

Luke was a basketball varsity player in his college years. He also enjoyed golfing, camping and long driving trips with his family. He likes spending time with his children playing video, board and card games. He also loved to grill!

Luke was also known as the gentle giant with a big heart and as a teddy bear to his family, friends and co-workers. He was a good son and a very loving and caring father and husband. Luke will surely be missed by many.

A Funeral Mass for Luke will be 11:00AM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Pax Christi Catholic Church with Father Chinnappa Pothireddy officiating. There will be a visitation Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester and at Pax Christi Catholic Church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
