Luella M. Alberts

A graveside service for Luella M. Alberts will be at 1:00pm on Saturday June 21, 2014 in Marion Cemetery with Rod Allen officiating.

Luella Mae (Feenstra) Alberts, age 91, passed away on June 15, 2014 at her daughters home in Milwaukee, WI.  She was born on June 8, 1923 in Pierre, SD to Jacob and Bessie (Eggelston) Feenstra.

Luella married Ben F. Alberts on January 19th, 1941 in Parker, SD.  Ben passed away on November 9, 2004.  She enjoyed knitting having knitted hundreds of hats which she gave away to children and adults who needed them.  She was also a volunteer for many years for Channel One.  Luella worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for many years before retiring.

She is survived her daughter Pat Schrauth of Milwaukee; son John (Linda) Alberts of Saginaw, MN; a daughter-in-law Sylvia of Mantorville;  sister Mary Duffy and niece Ann O’Neil, both of California; grandchildren Theresa (Alex) Varga, Mary Giersch, Lisa Hartwell, Jacob Alberts, Joe (Tammy) Alberts and Robert (Heidi) Alberts.  She is a proud great grandma of ten and great-great grandma of nine.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Robert, one brother, one sister and two grandchildren Tina and Danielle.
