Condolences

The family of Lucille M “Lou” Adams has received the following condolences.

The name Lucille means light.

Lou was a beacon of hope and light for anyone who was blessed to know her.

Lou was all about love, loving people, loving her family, loving Mike and loving God.

Lou walked in faith, she was not afraid to entertain strangers because she knew they were angels unawares.

Lou was a kind, gentle, patient wife and later a vigilant caregiver to Mike.

He was her joy.

Mike prayed for ten years with Lou.

Their marriage bond was strong and those short years lasted a lifetime.

Lou was Mike's song and he showered her with heart necklaces, Lou and Mike birthstone rings and beautiful cards professing his love.

She often spoke of being with him in Heaven and kissed his picture by her bedside good night.

Lou had the gift of the Holy Spirit to be able to speak in tongues.

She shared this gift with me on my birthday.

I felt a closeness with her that I never felt with any other person.

It was like an angel took me under her wings and guided me to glory.

She would tell me I was her adopted daughter.

Lou requested of me not to buy her a gift, but to spend time visiting with her over the holidays.

She selected a movie and either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day we would spend the afternoon and well into the evening watching old holiday movies.

I was a child again viewing Holiday Inn, White Christmas, Home Alone 1&2.

My first Walton's movie was The Homecoming.

I can see Lou's smile as the movie ended happily.

Her blue chair was decorated with light beams from the prisms of fiber optic Christmas tree lights

This past Christmas Lou was gifted a fruitcake.

We had a cup of coffee each after the movies and ate fruitcake.

It was the best treat ever.

We giggled about an old book written years ago about a hundred things to do with a fruitcake.

The movie theme carried over to our birthdays.

Lou liked the movie Mama Mia.

She said the ABBA music made her happy and brought fond .memories of her and Mike watching it together.

This year for my birthday Lou baked a homemade oatmeal cake with broiled coconut frosting.

The cake was a labor of love and Lou said, "I think this is the last time I will make this cake because it took all day and I am exhausted! "

I made sure to thank her several times for such a special present.

Lou was proud of her children and grandchildren.

She spoke lovingly about each one and how good they were to her.

A mother's love is forever and her guiding light shines bright in each one of you.

Lou's last words to me were,"I am praying for you, love you, be safe "

To everything there is a season...

Love you Mom! You are in a better place! (Rev. 21.4) I think about you Everyday!

Corinthians 5:1

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
