Lucille M. Kuhl

Lucille Margaret Kuhl, 91 of Rochester passed away peacefully on January 8, 2023 at her home.

Lucille Margaret Manahan was born on May 10, 1931 in Chatfield to Mathew and Adelene (McConnell) Manahan. She graduated from Chatfield High School. In 1951 she married Robert “Bob” Kuhl at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chatfield. They lived and farmed near Chester, MN while raising their three children. Lucille was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester. She was very active in the local Catholic community and was a strong advocate for social justice. Yardwork and weekly bread baking were her favorite pastimes.

She is survived by her children Larry Kuhl of Rochester, Mary (Mike) Giesler of Pine Island, MN, Joe (Katie Kucirek) Kuhl of Rochester, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband and 8 siblings.

The Funeral Mass for Lucille will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 1:00pm with Father Chris Manahan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral in the church gathering space. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chatfield, MN.
