Weinhold, and was also confirmed at Trinity on March 17, 1940.  Lowell graduated from Rochester High School in 1943.  He was then inducted into the Army in December of that same year.  After basic training at Ft. Benning Georgia, he was sent to Ft. He was honorably discharged in March, 1946.

Lowell attended Rochester Jr. College where he received a degree in Opthalmic Optics.  He worked at Benson Optical in Albert Lea for 30 years, then transferred to Rochester.  He later managed the lab at Duling Optical until 1991.

Zion Lutheran was his church home in Albert Lea and Redeemer Lutheran Church since moving to Rochester, where he served in many capacities.  He was an avid sportsman and gardener and known for his elderberry wine.  His family remained his first priority.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Evan Fahrman, Drew Fahrman, Michael Quackenbush, Edward Brosnan, Dan Brosnan, Derek Flowers, Brandon Plantage, Brady Plantage and Eric Harper.

Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waltham.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church, the National Honor Flight, or the American Diabetes Association.
