Louis Dewayne Bennett

“Lou Lou” unexpectedly left us on Thursday August 29, 2019. His jokes, beautiful smile, laughter, and kindness will forever linger in our hearts.

Louis was born in Chicago, IL to Sharon Poindexter and Louis Phillip Jr.

Lou Lou is preceded in death by his father, Louis Jr.; grandmothers, Marian and Dorothy; grandfathers, James and Louis Sr.; aunt, Gina; cousins, Corky, JayJay, Eisha, John, and Jamie.

Lou Lou attended Libby Elementary and Gage Park High School. He was an extremely gifted young man; everyone loved him, and he loved everyone. He was always playful and enjoyed the smile he brought upon everyone’s faces. Lou Lou had a love for fashion, music, and women. He always knew how to brighten up any room; his laughter would put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart.

Lou Lou left a legacy, including his mother, Boogie; his step-father, Ray; and step mothers, Gloria and Jackie; daughter, Essence; sisters, Sharon , Tiffany, Shanika, and Tamika; brothers, Keke, Lil Ray, DeAndre, and Darell; nieces Mahogany, Beautifull, and Nova; nephews, Omarion , Dream, and Giovanni; a very special friend, JoAnna; and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will truly miss Louis.
