Lorraine Mae Wondrow
Lorraine Wondrow passed away April 22, joining her husband and heavenly family.
Lorraine was born on August 23, 1927 and was a lifelong resident of Rochester, Minnesota. She and Bernard “Bernie” Wondrow were married on March 25, 1945. Bernie preceded her in death on December 12, 1978. They are survived by four children: Larry (Marlene Book), Jerry (Pat Roseboom), Gary, and Sheri (Joe Corfits); seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorraine worked at JC Penney in Rochester for over 50 years. She enjoyed frequent breakfast and lunch dates with a close circle of friends she met while working there.
Lorraine was also an avid (and successful) fisherwoman and enjoyed many camping and fishing trips with family and friends. Later in life, she also enjoyed trips to various casinos with family and friends.
Her most precious memories were of those of family and large gatherings for dinners and picnics.
She always cared about others before herself. Her love and caring for her family and friends will be in our hearts and minds forever.
The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic & St. Marys doctors and nurses on Mary Brigh and Domitilla for their most compassionate care in helping her, and family, on her final journey.
There will be a private family burial, with a Celebration of Life gathering for extended family and friends at a later date.
Condolences
The family of Lorraine Mae Wondrow has received the following condolences.
Our love and prayers for Lorraine Wondrow families. I also worked at JCPenneys and enjoyed having Lorraine at our JCPenney Parties. May Gods Love give your family comfort and peace. Chuck and Diana Schroeder.
Lorraine was a dear friend, always ready for a visit over a cup of coffee, or a casino trip. Her family came first, always. My condolences to them.
To Lorraine's family, You can all be so proud of the legacy your mam left, one of quiet friendliness and a true lover of her family. Her smile and giggle were contagious and it was always great when she met you at JCP even after her retirement.. Blessings to you all and sorry she has left us.....From Donna Anderson
Lorraine was a wonderful person. When i worked with her at JCP she was one of my favorite people. She was like a Mother to me. She was the same age as my Mother and had all her great qualities. She will be missed in a big way by all those lucky enough to have met her. My prayers for all her family.

Jerry and Gary and the Wondrow Family, So Sorry For Your Loss, Your Mom and Dad are back together again.
Dearest Sheri, Larry, Jerry and Gary.
I am so very sad to hear of Mom’s passing. Sheri and I were like sisters, and still are to this day. Lorraine was really like my second Mom growing up, and I have so many loving memories of her, and all the time I spent with your family. I will never forget her laugh and amazing sense of humor as she raised you all. I just know she was greeted at heavens gates by your Dad, and her family who went before her. She was so loved by all the grands and great grands. She will forever be missed. Love to you all, and I’ll see you at her Celebration of Life. Oh how she loved a good party with her loved ones ❤️
Susie.
