Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, September 16, 2013 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass.

Mrs. Klein, 84, died on September 13, 2013 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Lorraine M. Bena was born April 30, 1929 in Park River, ND. She graduated from high school in Park River and then moved to Chicago, IL where she did secretarial work at the Illinois State Nurses Association, Zonta International, the National 4-H Headquarters, and the Illinois Central Railroad. In 1951, she returned to North Dakota where she was employed by the Farmers Home Administration. On June 27, 1953, she married Gideon Klein and they lived in Fargo, ND, Alexandria, MN and Waterloo, IA before settling in Rochester in 1961. In 1974, she and her husband opened Klein’s Luggage and Leather Store and were in business there until 1991.

Survivors include her husband Gideon, three sons, Gary (Candy) and Bill (Jeanne) of Rochester, Joseph (Holly) of Minnetonka, MN two daughters, Mary Kay (Dave) Utzinger of Otsego, MN and Carol (Mike) Lane of Minneapolis, MN, nine grandchildren, and three sisters, Irene (Bart) Hankey of Park River, ND, Kathryn (Jim) Hayden of Crystal Lake, IL, and JoAnne (Bill) Pierce of Canton, CT.
