Lloyd A. Goetz

Lloyd Arthur Goetz passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 1, 2017.

Lloyd was born January 9, 1930 to Arthur and Lillian Goetz. He served in the Airforce then later returned to Rochester. Lloyd married the love of his life, Elaine Hermanson, on December 7, 1958. They were blessed with one child, Diane and three grandsons, his pride and joy. Lloyd was an appraiser for Olmsted County. He enjoyed camping, fishing, waterskiing and traveling. He loved working in the flower garden, crafts and woodworking. He built two beautiful dollhouses for Elaine and Diane.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Diane (Rick) Rivers; grandsons, Brian and Kevin; Brad Moe, who was like a son; brothers, Don Goetz, and John (Anita) Goetz; and also, many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Marc Lloyd Rivers.

Special thanks to Dr. Havyer and her staff, Prairie River Home Care, Mayo Hospice, and our Gloria Dei family. We appreciate all your care and support; we couldn’t have experienced it without all of you.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Brad Moe officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
