Lisa D. Prichard

Lisa Diane Prichard, age 55, of Ames, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Lisa was born on May 11, 1969, in Davenport, Iowa, to Philip L. and Delaine G. Prichard (formerly Woelber). As a child, academics were important to her. Lisa graduated as valedictorian of West High in Davenport and earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern College in 1987 and her Juris Doctorate degree from University of Iowa in 2001. She was proud of the many years she worked for Willkie, Farr & Gallager in New York and Washington, D.C., and for McGuireWoods in Baltimore, Maryland. Lisa’s intelligence and passion made her a powerful and caring advocate both during and after her law career.

Lisa is survived by her husband Bernard J. Canniffe and her beloved children, twins Benjamin and Elizabeth Canniffe. Her children were the brightest lights in her world, and she loved them beyond measure. Benjamin and Elizabeth loved the sound of their mom’s laugh and the way she would read and play piano with them.

Memorial details will be shared at a later date.

Arrangements are not being handled by Macken Funeral Home.
