Leonardo Joaquín “Chino” Hernández Duque, de 55 años, originario de Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal, falleció el martes 14 de octubre de 2025 en Mayo Clinic – Campus St. Marys, en Rochester, Minnesota.

Leonardo nació el 11 de abril de 1970 en Ciudad de México, hijo de María de los Ángeles Duque y José Antonio Hernández Domínguez. Emigró a los Estados Unidos en la década de 1990, donde conoció a Adriana en 2006. El 28 de mayo de 2016, contrajo matrimonio con Adriana Hernández en el Blue Moon Ballroom en Rochester, MN, donde han residido desde entonces.

Leonardo disfrutaba trabajar en proyectos, pescar y cocinar. Era una persona dedicada a su familia y muy querida por quienes lo conocieron.

Le sobreviven su esposa Adriana Hernández, su hijo Edward Hernández, su hija Alexandra Hernández, su madre María de los Ángeles Duque, y sus Hermano/as y familares politics: José Antonio Hernández, María Lidia Hernández (Jorge), Anselmo David Hernández Duque (Brenda) y Mónica Hernández Duque (Juan) y sobrinas y sobrinos muy queridos.

Le precedieron en muerte su padre José Antonio Hernández Domínguez, su hermano Rodolfo Hernández, y sus abuelos.

La visita se llevará a cabo el viernes 24 de octubre de 2025, de 10:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica San Francis, seguida de una Misa a las 11:00 a.m., oficiada por el Padre Luis Vargas. El entierro será en el cementerio Grandview Memorial Gardens, ubicado en 300 Marion Rd SE, Rochester, MN.

La familia recibirá a amigos y seres queridos el 24 de octubre de 2025, a partir de las 5:45 p.m., en la dirección 2432 Melody St. SE, para el novenario en honor a Leonardo.

Leonardo Joaquin “Chino” Hernández Duque, age 55, of Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Mayo Clinic – St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Leonardo was born on April 11, 1970, in Ciudad de México to María de los Ángeles Duque and José Antonio Hernández Domínguez. He migrated to the United States in the 1990s, where he met Adriana in 2006. The couple married on May 28, 2016, at the Blue Moon Ballroom in Rochester, MN, and have resided there since.

Leonardo was known for his love of hands-on projects, fishing, and cooking, and was deeply devoted to his family.

He is survived by his wife Adriana Hernández, his son Edward Hernández, his daughter Alexandra Hernández, his mother María de los Ángeles Duque, and his siblings an in laws: José Antonio Hernández, María Lidia Hernández (Jorge), Anselmo David Hernández Duque (Brenda), and Mónica Hernández Duque (Juan), and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father José Antonio Hernández Domínguez, his brother Rodolfo Hernández, and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Luis Vargas. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens, located at 300 Marion Rd SE, Rochester, MN.

The family will receive friends and family on October 24, 2025, at 5:45 at 2432 Melody St. SE for the Leonardo’s novena.
