The funeral for Leonard Henry Miller be at 11:00am on Monday, January 27, 2014 at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home with Father Kevin Connolly officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Leonard passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on January 24, 2014 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester.
Leonard was born on November 30, 1934 to Henry and Clara (Sehl) Miller in Rochester and spent the majority of his life here. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. He married Dorothy Spading in July of 1956. The couple lived in Minneapolis while attending college at the University of Minnesota; they returned to the Rochester area in 1960. Leonard retired from Crenlo in 1997 after many years of service. He enjoyed the golf course, fishing, bingo and gambling until suffering a severe stroke in 2005.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughters, Dorothy Faith (Roger) Dudley, Teresa Lynn (Tom) Small, Rebecca Jean (Tim) Hollermann and Michelle Lee (Michael) Bacon; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials are suggested to a hospice program of the donor’s choice.
