Larry Hagen, 62, a native of Rochester, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Larry was born August 2, 1956 to Robert and Delores (Aaby) Hagen. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1974. On August 29, 1981, he married Mary E. “Libby” Hagen at St. Pius X Catholic Church. In 1981, he began his career with the Mayo Medical Center, retiring in 2014 from the Revenue Cycle Department as a System Technician after 33 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Libby (Tomforde) Hagen; his daughter and son in-law, Catherine (Christopher) Hagen Hartley; son and daughter in-law, Nicholas (Nicole) Hagen; three grandchildren, Noah Hagen (10), Lucas Hagen (8) and Evelyn Hartley (7wks). He is also survived by his mother and father; one sister, Julie (John) Schreiber; and one brother, Ron (Cari) Hagen.

Larry enjoyed working on his cars and in the yard. His favorite sound was the wind blowing through the leaves on the trees and you could find him riding his lawn tractor during some windy days taking in the surroundings. He also enjoyed pontooning out on the Zumbro River with his wife and family.

The memorial service for Larry R. Hagen will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30th, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Dear Robert Hagen family, So sorry and sad to hear of Larry’s passing. Larry was a fantastic friend to so many. Great memories of good old NE Rochester kids growing up in loving families .  I sure had fun playing sports with Larry, and Ronny... paling around silver  lake, Jefferson School, Kellogg, John Marshall, eating potato chips and a gallon of milk after school at The Hagen's kitchen table and sharing fun stories. I will never forget Larry: a great friend of mine.

To The Hagen family,  Larry was an old Friend from the Ne area. Went to school Jefferson, Kellogg, JM with him. Sports, Many many Sleep overs at Hagen house. Pretty much just terrorized the neighborhood. We had a short career as a Rock and Roll Band . Larry on Guitar, Tom Ondler on guitar and me on drums. Knew 2 songs. All bought Knee high moccasins to wear to our first "GIG "in somebody's garage. We were really COOL  RIP my Friend
