Larry J. Quinn
Larry John Quinn, 66, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. Larry was born in Rochester, MN on January 31, 1957 to Kenneth Quinn of Lanesboro, MN, and Florence Quinn (Glackin) of Jackson, MN. Larry attended school at St. Francis of Assisi and ultimately graduated from John Marshall High School in 1975. He married Kim (Lund) in 1978 and had three daughters. Larry worked for Mayo Clinic as a Linen Transporter for 46 years as well as Textile Care Services for 23 years before retiring in September of 2022.
Larry was known as a hard worker. He enjoyed going to estate sales, collected antiques, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He always looked forward to his annual trips with family to Lanesboro and listening to blues bands. Larry was proud of his Irish heritage and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day every year with his daughters. Larry will forever be remembered for his unique laugh and sense of humor.
Larry is survived by his ex-wife and best friend Kim; his 3 daughters, Mandy (Luke) Quinn Predmore, Ashley (Jason) Kothenbeutel, and Angie (Kevin) Quinn Smoot; 9 grandchildren, Mariah Wilson and Logan Predmore, Brycen and Kinsley Kothenbeutel, and Bradley, Dylan, Tyler, Ava and Bella Smoot; and his sisters Marlene (Glenn) Berg and Mary Quinn.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Florence Quinn and his brother Brian Quinn.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

I want to extend our condolences to Larry's family. Rob had the pleasure of working with Larry for many years at St. Mary's Hospital. When Larry needed help with his lawn mower and yard we were always there to help. Larry was a great person and friend/co-worker.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am praying for y’all during this rough time and just know whenever you see a cardinal or butterfly it’s him saying hello and he’s pain free and at peace.
