Laetitia Ezekwem
Laetitia Ezekwem, 72, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, September 24, 2023.
Laetitia was born January 10, 1951 in Awo-Omamma Imo-state, Nigeria, the daughter of Nwaokorie and Agunanne Okoro. On March 5, 1982 she married Vitalis Ezekwem. In 1984, Laetitia and Vitalis moved to the United States, where Laetitia would continue her education at Winona State University for teaching. She worked for the Kahler before going to work at The Mayo Clinic in surgical core, housekeeping and finally becoming a PCA. Laetitia worked for Mayo for 38 years up until recently when she no longer felt well enough. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking and watching her favorite soap operas. Laetitia was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, was a woman of strong Christian faith and loved attending church every Sunday. She was caring, loving and was always able to make others laugh and smile with her comedic sense of humor.
Laetitia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Vitalis; daughter, Laevita Ezekwem (fiancé, Kevin Gionis); son Victor Ezekwem and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Laetitia will be laid to rest in her home country of Nigeria.

So sorry for your loss. I've never met your mother, but I have your dad through our good friend Rick Kolar who used to work with him. Prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.
I worked with Laetitia for 12 years and considered her a friend. She always had a good attitude and rarely complained. She was reliable and loved to talk politics! I’m so sorry she was taken too early. I wish you all the best.
I am so very sorry about Laetitia. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Heaven just got a wonderful soul.
I will remember her smile and laugh.

I would like to extend my sincerest condolences on Laetitia's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her many years ago at St Mary's. Laetitia's personality was bubbly, kind and sincere. She never knew a stranger. When her husband would come to visit her, she would proudly show him off. She was never down, even when she wasn't feeling well and no matter how busy she was with work, she always made you feel like you were more important and valuable than what she was doing. I've thought about her frequently over the years and my heart is saddened to hear of her passing, but I know I will see her in Heaven. Well done, Laetitia, good and faithful servant. You have now entered Eternity and are resting in His arms. Well done.

I remember Laetitia well…having worked alongside her for over 20+ years. She was strong-willed, and had an equally strong faith! I think I will remember her laughter the most! And, boy did she love those Vikings!
