Kip A. Meredith

Kip Allen Meredith, 73, of Rochester, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Kip was born November 8, 1950, in Rochester to Harold and Bonnie (Michelson) Meredith. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School. After graduation he joined the US Army, serving in Vietnam. Kip was honorably discharged in November 1971. He met Gretchen in 1972, they were married May 24, 1974, at St. Bridget’s Church in Simpson.

Kip had a love for farming, which we can blame on his grandparents. He continued farming both livestock and crops, while working full-time at Model Laundry, and as a maintenance worker for Meadow Park Apartments and Holiday Inn South.

He always enjoyed spending time with his family, talking to anyone who would listen, reading and planting a garden.

He is survived by his wife, Gretchen, daughter Kate, son, John (Stephanie), and granddaughter Kaylin, the apple of his eye.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Kips passing . First met him when he worked at Holiday Inn, my shop worked on the hotel's vehicles and we crossed paths often and I visited with him a time or two at the farm by Pinewood Road. He slways had this grin on his face like he just got by with something! If I new he  was in 'nam, I would of for sure thanked him for his service........RIP Kip!

We were sorry to hear about Kip's passing. Our deepest sympathies to you. We both worked with him. He helped us with work around our house. He was always friendly and had a nice smile. Love, Donna and Patrick Dingley????????????

So sad to read of Kip's passing, Gretchen. Prayers for all of you.

We extend our sympathy and prayers to his family and friends. I worked with Kip at the Holiday Inn South. He was so friendly and at times very funny. My husband enjoyed talking with Kip about farming. I am sure you have great memories, look back at those fun times and he will always be with you. Georgianne and Bruce Johnson

I am so sorry to hear that Kip passed away, I was lucky enough to work with him for many years at the Holiday Inn but when I retired in2010 had lost contact with him. He was a wonderful friend and always happy and smiling and laughing. I will pray for him and all of you that I am sure he has found peace Kathy Bond
